Traders are eying Starbucks Corp (Nasdaq: SBUX) today, following comments from spokesperson Alisa Martinez in an interview.

According to Bloomberg, Starbucks' Verismo brewer sales are topping expectations. Martinez said the brewer is "selling out" and on backorder.

Martinez also said the Company shouldn't have a problem getting Verismo inventory for the holiday season.

Last week, Starbucks began selling the device, which handles brewing single-serve espresso as well as single-serve coffee pods. The initial price for the Verismo 580 model -- which comes in burgundy, black, and champagne -- was set at $199. The 580 will be available in Starbucks cafes on October 16th.

Shares of Starbucks are about 0.8 percent lower Wednesday. Green Mountain (Nasdaq: GMCR) shares are also active, up 0.2 percent on the session.
