Leerink Swann maintains an 'Outperform' on Teva Pharma (NASDAQ: TEVA) price target of $48.00.
Analyst, Jason M. Gerberry, said, "With the patent dispute likely heading to a patent trial on Nov. 7 and TEVA capturing a meaningful contribution from the sale of a generic substitute (we estimate ~4% of EPS), we decided to review the case with a MEDACorp patent specialist. Feedback from the patent specialist suggests AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) is likely to get a favorable ruling on Pulmicort's '603 patent, which would prevent the generic competitors from launching until 2019 and leave TEVA as the sole generic for another 7 years. While many investors are focused on bigger picture issues that may be addressed at TEVA's Investor Day (12/11), we view likely defensibility of g-Pulmicort as an incremental positive."
