Jefferies assumes coverage on Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) with a Buy/Top Pick. PT $47.00.

"HAL has forged strong growth prospects in deepwater by improving a broader set of capabilities over the last few years and it has developed and acquired a platform on the Production side of the business that we think also offers strong growth prospects. At the same time, we continue to believe it is the low cost leader in U.S. services, which should help it retain a premium margin over peers over the medium term."
