Nomura Securities maintains a 'Buy' on Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) price target of $52.00.

Analyst, Harry C. Curtis, said, "Over the weekend (9/7), LVS named Madrid as the preferred city for a possible casino/resort complex. In our view, these are the steps that LVS needs to keep Spain as a possible development option, but we reiterate our view that the likelihood of completing a multi-billion project remains low. As a practical matter, securing adequate financing is LVS’ major hurdle. There are also the issues in Spain of overriding a smoking ban, tax abatement, and labor, any of which could put a stake in the CEO’s appetite to move forward. We reiterate our preference that LVS take a firm stance on returning cash to shareholders rather than developing in Spain."
