Oppenheimer reiterates an 'Outperform' on Corning (NYSE: GLW) price target of $16.00.
Analyst, Andrew Uerkwitz, said, "We are more comfortable with Corning's prospects following recent events and reports from management and its primary customers. At a conference last week, Corning mgmt reiterated its estimate for 2012 glass demand (unchanged in three quarters). And taking a broader look, we saw AU Optronics and Chimei Innolux report positive August revenues and display panel shipment data. These data points give us more comfort with our near-term outlook."
