Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on Exa Corporation (NASDAQ: EXA) price target of $14.00.

Analyst, James Ricciuti, said, "EXA after the market close yesterday reported its first quarter as a public company (after completing an IPO at $10.00 share in late June). FQ2 revenues were slightly better than expected, while earnings came in well above expectations, reflecting lower than expected operating expense and some below-the--line items. EXA has registered 18 consecutive years of growth, including a CAGR of ~30% since 2002, and has been profitable on an adjusted EBIDTA basis in each of the last three years. We believe EXA is capable of delivering ~20% L-T growth with improving operating leverage. We view EXA as one of the more exciting micro-cap growth stories in our coverage universe."

Raising FY13 EPS estimate from $0.20 to $0.28.
