Brean Murray Carret & Co. maintains a 'Buy' on Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ: GILD) price target of $60.00.

Analyst, Brian Skorney, said, "Stibild's approval comes as no surprise but we note pricing ($2,342.78 per 30 day script) that is materially higher than the company's other single-pill, total therapy options Atripla ($1,734.14 per 30 day) and Complera ($1,830 per 30 day) but in line with other PI-based and Integrase inhibitory-based approaches. We believe that the strong sales growth of Complera signifies a desire in the HIV community for alternative treatment options and with a single-pill, one daily integrase inhibitor-based combo we feel Stribild will be even more successful in its initial penetration.
