Chevron (CVX) Makes Nice with YPF S.A. (YPF)

Today Chevron's (NYSE: CVX) President of Africa and Latin America, Ali Moshiri, said the oil giant wanted to partner with Argentina's largest oil producer, YPF SA (NYSE: YPF), and help it develop the company's Vaca Muerta shale formations.
"We are open to strategically partnering with YPF," said Ali Moshiri. "We are looking forward to working with the government."
YPF's CEO, Miguel Galuccio, said the state-controlled company will unveil its contract model later this month and is seeking partnerships. The Vaca Muerta shale might contain more than 23 billion barrels of oil.
