July 31, 2012 9:59 AM EDT
According to reports today, Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has added Hulu Plus streaming video service to its set-top-box unit, Apple TV.

The launch was a quiet one, according to AppleInsider.

Other third party content providers include: Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX), MLB.TV, the NBA, NHL, Vimeo, YouTube, and News Corp.'s (Nasdaq: NWSA) WSJ Live.

Currently, Hulu Plus costs about $10 per month, which is right in the same ballpark as Netflix. Accordingly, Netflix shares are ticking lower on the news.

Access to Hulu Plus was available to iPhone and iPad users previously.

Apple is up 1.9 percent at the start Tuesday.
