Barrington Research upgraded Regal Entertainment (NYSE: RGC) from Market Perform to Outperform with a price target of $18.00.
Barrington analyst said, "The stock has been volatile but range bound over the past year, at least partly reflecting an inability to generate an increasing trend in its screen count. We have indicated consistently that a turn in this metric would make us much more interested in this name. In addition, management is demonstrating strong execution skills in terms of important elements over which it can exercise control or take full advantage."
"Separately, but also very importantly, the 6.2% yield on its current dividend is very attractive, and there is some likelihood that consideration of yet another in its string of special dividends could take place in the intermediate term, unless some other activity like an acquisition or share repurchase takes precedence."
