Needham & Company downgraded RadiSys (NASDAQ: RSYS) from Buy to Hold.

Richard Valera, said, "While we had been optimistic about the potential of the “new” Radisys post it acquisition of Continuous Computing based on the growth prospects of its higher margin ATCA, software (i.e., Trillium) and media server businesses, it appears the company has fallen victim to the telecom cap-ex slowdown/pause that appears to be affecting many telecom equipment companies. Given the RSYS’ sharply lowered outlook and limited visibility to a meaningful rebound, we are moving to the sidelines and lowering our rating to Hold. We would look to become more positive on the shares with evidence of a sustained rebound in demand."

FY12 EPS estimate cut from $0.73 to $0.34 and FY13 from $0.93 to $0.53.
