Needham & Company maintians a 'Hold' on Forest Laboratories (NYSE: FRX).

Analyst, Elliot Wilbur, said, "Despite signaling a shortfall owing to lighter than expected generic Lexapro royalties, FRX’s 1QF13 results still fell modestly short of increasingly diminished expectations. As has been the case for some time however, shares largely get a pass on near-term numbers with expectations largely geared toward real-time movement in the launch trajectory of key new products Viibryd, Daliresp and Teflaro and increasingly upcoming FDA action dates for next in-franchise assets linaclotide and aclidinium."

Wilbur continues to see shares range bound, despite softening financials, but he finds it difficult to see shares reaccelerate into 2013. (FY13 EPS estimate cut from $0.69 to $0.66 and FY14 from $1.70 to $1.68)
