Deutsche Bank maintains a 'Buy' on Aviva plc (NYSE: AV).

Deutsche analyst sees Aviva's newly appointed Chairman as a breath of fresh air, helping the company come into a new frame of mind (no more self-denial). The chairman has orchestrated the review of the company's 58 business units, identifying 16 as non-core, and 27 as 'could improve'. Sales growth, de-risking and organic profit improvement goals have been put in place on a confident timescale.

Although, Deutsche analyst sees some 2014 EPS dilution and dividend cut, but still favors shares especially when compared to peer Allianz and the sector (P/E 7% below Allianz and 15% below sector)
