Oppenheimer on Multi-Industry Stocks: Adjusting Estimates and Price Targets
Analyst, Christopher Glynn, said, "We are revising estimates downward, but only modestly at this point, for 11 of our covered names to reflect softening economic conditions. We are leaving estimates unchanged for GE (NYSE: GE), Ametek (NYSE: AME), Cooper Industries (NYSE: CBE), Acuity Brands (NYSE: AYI), and Generac (Nasdaq: GNRC) (reflecting mix of recent updates, backlog visibility, acquisitions, end markets, and prior relative conservatism of guidance)."
Changes Include:
Barnes Group (NYSE: B) - FY12 EPS estimate lowered from $1.85 to $1.80, FY13 from $2.15 to $2.05. PT cut from $31 to $29.
Eaton (NYSE: ETN) - FY12 EPS cut from $4.50 to $4.30, FY13 from $5.25 to $4.95 and price target lowered from $60 to $50.
Emerson (NYSE: EMR) - FY12 EPS dropped from $3.45 to $3.35, FY13 from $4.00 to $3.85 and PT lowered from $60 to $59.
WW Grainger (NYSE: GWW) - FY12 EPS cut from $10.80 to $10.60, FY13 from $12.35 to $12.05 and PT dropped from $230 to $215.
Honeywell (NYSE: HON) - FY12 EPS from $4.50 to $4.45, FY13 from $5.05 to $4.95, PT maintained at $68.
Hubbell (NYSE: HUB.B) - FY12 EPS cut from $4.95 to $4.90, FY13 from $5.55 to $5.45, PT raised from $85 to $89.
Pentair (NYSE: PNR) - FY12 lowered from $2.80 to $2.65, FY13 from $3.05 to $2.95, and PT from $50 to $44.
Regal-Beloit (NYSE: RBC) - FY12 EPS cut from $5.15 to $5.05, FY13 from $6.10 to $5.80 and PT from $80 to $78.
Roper Industries (NYSE: ROP) - FY13 lowered from $5.40 to $5.35, PT maintained at $110.
Sensata Technologies (NYSE: ST) - FY12 EPS estimate cut from $2.10 to $2.05, FY13 from $2.60 to $2.50. PT lowered from $35 to $32.
Wesco Intl (NYSE: WCC) - FY12 EPS estimate lowered from $4.85 to $4.70 and FY13 from $5.55 to $5.35. PT cut from $79 to $72.
