Jefferies maintains a 'Buy' on American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) price target of $45.00 (from $43.50).
Analyst, Paul B. Fremont, said, "AEP shares are attractive on a P/E basis trading at an 8% discount (based on 2015 earnings) to other regulated companies. In 2015 the transition period ends and AEP will go to market. We are choosing to value AEP on 2015 earnings because the transition period ends and AEP will be charging market
based prices."
