Needham & Company maintains a 'Hold' in Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS).

Analyst, Laura Martin, attended an analyst event which showcased some new plans the company will implement.

Martin highlighted a few points including: 1. DIS is bringing better asset utilization concepts to its parks through creating interactive games and dining facilities that draw people into the least trafficked areas of the parks; 2. More immersive storytelling in the lines while you wait. Hard to tell how this improves ROIC, but it should improve customer satisfaction ratings which typically elongates length of stay in the parks; 3. Avatar will be a “must see” land within the Animal Kingdom and was unique enough to go outside the Disney-owned content assets to sign a licensing deal with Fox and James Cameron.

Other points including raising ticket prices at the California park; CapEx to begin decline in 2012; $4.5 billion for Shanghai Disney; and Strong/Growing Labor force.
