Barclays Positive Long-Term View on Vail Resorts (MTN); Adjusting Estimates as Spring Season Passes Increase

Barclays maintains an 'Overweight' on Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN) price target of $49.00.

Analyst, Felicia R. Hendrix, said, "Vail Resorts' FY3Q12 results underscore the success of the company's strategy. Spring season pass sales for 2012/2013 (adjusted as if Kirkwood was owned in both periods) increased 17% in units and 22% in dollars. Int'l up 30% along with strong season pass sales at Lake Tahoe."

Hendrix raises Q4 loss from (1.73) to (1.71), lowers FY12 from $0.31 to $0.23 and raises FY13 from $1.03 to $1.09. She bumps up FY13 with the expectation that snowfall will normalize, and overall her estimate could prove conservative.
