Barclays maintains an 'Overweight' on Big Lots (NYSE: BIG) price target of $43.00.
Analyst Meredith Adler, said, "One consequence of BIG's closeout business model is inconsistent performance, a result both of variations in supply and difficulties in executing at the store level when the merchandise offering changes so frequently. The latest quarter was not the first time this problem has been visible, though poor execution in consumables was the biggest problem in 1Q12."
Adler cut Q2 EPS estimate to $0.40, FY12 to $3.37 (from $3.43) and FY13 to $3.81 (from $3.89)
