UBS upgraded Assured Guaranty (NYSE: AGO) from Neutral to Buy. PT $18.

Analyst, Brian Meredith, said, "Since the 3/20/12 news of the Moody’s rating review, AGO shares are down 37% vs. S&P Financials down 12%. Following that underperformance, we think the share price now more than incorporates a Moody’s downgrade to below Aa3. Our upgrade of the stock to Buy reflects our assessment of a favorable risk-reward at the current price. Also, while a low probability, in our view, if AGO maintains its Aa3 Moody’s ratings, there would be significant upside for the stock price."
