UBS maintains a 'Buy' on Express Inc. (NYSE: EXPR) price target lowered from $29 to $25.

Analyst, Roxanne Meyer, said, "It seems EXPR violated a key tenet of their business model (which incl taking a balanced approach to inventory and sales plans by category) by shifting abruptly out of basic knit tops. We acknowledge that this misstep makes EXPR a bit vulnerable NT in defending EXPR’ consistency, but the EPS guidedown was not significant and inventory planning has always been an external variable. We continue to view EXPR as one of the most consistent performers in our group; fundamentals still intact. We view the 27% selloff on a 5% guidance redux as over done (trades ~9x ’13 EPS)."

"Lowering our Q2 estimate to $0.17 from $0.21; FY12 to $1.85 from $1.97 and FY13 from $2.18 to $2.06.
