As the population of individuals between of 65 and 69 years old increases, Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) will find itself in the “sweet spot” of retail, according to analysts at Jefferies Equity Research.

“With a lackluster recovery for many in the middle to lower income brackets combined with an increasing number of baby boomers moving to fixed incomes as they retire, we believe Dollar Tree remains in a sweet spot of retail,” stated an analyst.

“In fact, the population between the ages of 65-69 are projected to grow by 6.9% this year, up from 4% last year and less than 1% a decade ago.”

Analyst view these tends as bullish for the stock.

Today Jefferies analysts increased their price target on Dollar Tree from $100 to $115, while maintaining their BUY rating. They also increase comp. sales estimates to 5 percent from 4.5 percent.
