Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE: KKR) today announced a partnership with Transparency International, the global anti-corruption non-governmental organisation.
Ken Mehlman, Head of Public Affairs at KKR, commented: “KKR is committed to responsible investing and believes that thoughtful consideration of environmental, social and governance issues is a critical component of value creation. This global partnership with Transparency International will help us to further enhance our investment and company stewardship processes, specifically in the field of business integrity.
Transparency International is a civil society organisation that encourages private sector practices that are founded on integrity and accountability. It works with business partners that have demonstrated a commitment to an anti-corruption agenda through their internal policies and procedures and external activities, support and communications. Its partnership with KKR is the first within the private equity industry.
