Despite issuing preliminary results two weeks ago, Nuance Communications (Nasdaq: NUAN) volatility is higher heading into second-quarter 2012 results.
Market data has Nuance implied volatility up 10 percent from Wednesday's close and 107 percent over its historical average.
Shares are down about 1.1 percent into the tape.
Analysts are looking for EPS of 41 cents and revs of $412.6 million, slightly light to its own internal expectations calling for non-GAAP EPS of 42 cents to 43 cents and revs of $416 million to $418 million.
Traders might now be focusing on guidance for the noted Apple tech partner.
