Baird downgraded AMAG Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AMAG) to Neutral with a new price target of $17.00.

Analyst, Christopher Raymond, said, "While take-out was by no means our sole investment thesis, AMAG's new direction - switching roles from acquired to acquirer - introduces new elements of risk in that M&A as often as not can harm shareholder value, despite every good intention. While we do like where Feraheme seems headed, and are intrigued by this directional change, we would prefer to watch this company's evolution from the sidelines, at least for the time being."
