Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on Vitamin Shoppe (NYSE: VSI) price target raised from $44 to $52.

Analyst, Meredith Adler, said, "We never like to say that say one quarter makes a trend, but it seems to us that VSI hit a positive inflection point in 1Q12. Comps rose 9.6%, a real acceleration from the ~7% of the past two years, despite a tough comparison of 8.1% in 1Q11. Sales from e-commerce were also up a strong 15.5% compared to the 11.3% average for all of 2011. This success is not a result of luck or of the industry's robust growth."

Adler thinks VSI has been taking the appropriate steps in e-commerce and social media, however, after yesterday's jump in share price, the stock is fairly valued. Alder raises Q2 EPS from $0.48 to $0.53, FY12 from $1.82 to $1.96 and FY13 from $2.20 to $2.39.
