This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

- Ecolab Inc. (NYSE: ECL) high of $65.16. Ecolab up about 2.6 percent on the session after amending its stockholder agreement with Cascade Investment, L.L.C. and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust related to their investments in Ecolab. Cascade and the Foundation Trust will be able to acquire up to 25% of Ecolab’s outstanding shares at some time in the future.
- Dillard's, Inc. (NYSE: DDS) high of $67.13. Dillard's has simply shown strength since its last quarterly report on February 23rd, which had the retailer with a 75 cent earnings beat. Shares are up 16 percent since then and 49.5 percent for 2012.
- US Airways (NYSE: LCC) high of $11.11. US Airways moving higher following a bullish report on peer United over the weekend. The article could be applicable to US Airways as well in the sense that the barrier to entry is getting higher with fuel costs on the rise and the potential acquisition of bankrupt AMR Corp. (OTCBB: AAMRQ) by US Airways leaving just three major players in the U.S. market. For more from the article, click here.
- Frontier Communications Corp. (NYSE: FTR) low of $3.49. Frontier dipping 10.2 percent to its new mark following earnings Monday. The company reported first-quarter 2012 EPS of 5 cents on revs of $1.27 billion, compared with expectations calling for EPS of 6 cents on revs of $1.28 billion. Frontier also reaffirmed its outlook.
- Tempur Pedic Int'l (NYSE: TPX) low of $45.44. Tempur Pedic getting hit pretty well following a report by Raymond James questioning the offering of a discount on its hottest-selling Cloud Supreme set. The analyst said he couldn't remember the last time Tempur Pedic offered a discount. Shares fell 19.9 percent to the new mark.
- Thompson Creek Metals (NYSE: TC) low of $4.63. Earlier, Thompson Creek announced its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $200,000,000 of its Senior Notes due 2019, and 8,000,000 Tangible Equity Units (tMEDS) each with a stated amount of $25.
The Company intends to grant the underwriters a 13-day option to purchase an additional 1,200,000 tMEDS.
- Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVNT) low of $1.26. Savient lower after rival BioCryst commented about its potential grout treatment: ""We just completed our end of Phase 2 meeting with the FDA regarding our gout program. The agency provided clear and informative guidance regarding the path to approval for BCX4208, and we are now incorporating this advice into the Phase 3 plan." Savient down as much as 22.2 percent at one point.
