Needham & Company Reiterates a 'Buy' on NPS Pharmaceuticals (NPSP); Awaiting Date for Gattex FDA AdCom Meeting

Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on NPS Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: NPSP) price target of $15.00.

Analyst, Alan Carr, said, "NPS management previewed expected upcoming events in a quarterly conference call yesterday after market close. The Gattex PDUFA date for Short Bowel Syndrome is 9/30/12. The FDA has confirmed to NPS than an AdCom meeting will be held, but no date has been set. NPS also plans to meet with the FDA later this month to review the Natpara development program in hypoparathyroidism and continues to guide for a BLA submission in 2H12."
