James River Coal Co. (JRCC) Posts Q1 Loss of 45c/Share; Withdrawals FY12 CapEx Outlook

James River Coal Co. (NASDAQ: JRCC) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.45), $0.21 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.66). Revenue for the quarter came in at $279.76 million versus the consensus estimate of $277.46 million.

Due to unusual volatility in the coal markets and changes to our operating structure, the Company is withdrawing guidance for 2012 Capital Expenditures of $125 million.
