Biogen Idec, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB) reported Q1 EPS of $1.40, $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.48. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.29 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.31 billion.

Sees FY12 adj-EPS above $6.15, which compares to the Street estimate of $6.19.

Expecting to buyback an additional $500 million in common shares.
