Auriga maintains a 'Hold' on Weight Watchers (NYSE: WTW) price target of $88.00.
Analyst, Gary Albanese, said, "W e are expecting Q1 EPS of $0.80 compared to $1.00 last year as the company faced tough comps after its introduction of its New PointsPlus program fueled a 30% revenue increase last year. For revenue in Q112, we are expecting flattish revenue of $505.5 compared to $503.4 million last year. Online Growth Expected to Offset Drop in Meetings Business. For the quarter we are expecting online paid weeks to grow about 30%, which should largely offset mid-single digit declines in its North American and UK meeting business. The declines in the meeting business are largely due to tough comps as there was a surge in new customers last year, including higher 1Q11 paid meetings of 32.4% in North America and 24.4% in the UK."
