Maxim Group initiates coverage on Viacom (NASDAQ: VIAB) with a Buy. PT $59.00.

Analyst, Nirav Modi, said, "VIAB stock seems to have underperformed since being spun out alongside CBS as operating income/share has increased 9% CAGR (2006 to FY11) but the stock has only increased at ~3% CAGR (2006 to today)...Strong forecast operating income per share growth of 17% CAGR over the next four years to FY15 as share buybacks leverage operating income growth of 6% CAGR...Viacom is buying back another 10% of its stock this year, after buying back 11% over the last two years as it continues to be financially disciplined instead of pursuing acquisitions. We estimate that the company could buy back 36% of its stock back over the next four years and is well placed to be even more aggressive."
