Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) price target of $29.00.

Analyst, Glenn Schorr, said, "MS reported EPS of $0.71 ex DVA vs. our/street ests of $0.40/$0.44. The strong beat was driven by flat out great trading results and reasonable wealth management trends, which more than offset sluggish investment banking activity. MS posted its best FICC quarter since 1Q10 and notched the highest y/y improvement among peers. We remain Neutral, as despite the progress, a 9% ROE in what was a great trading quarter for MS shows it still has ground to make up and we think MS will continue to trade at a discount to tangible book until it posts double-digit ROEs. F12E/F13E EPS from $1.66/$2.15 to $1.50/$2.50, respectively."
