Nomura Securities maintains a 'Buy' on EZCORP (NASDAQ: EZPW) price target of $37.00.

Analyst, Bill Carcache, said, "EZCORP reported 2Q12 EPS of $0.73 relative to our estimate (and consensus) of $0.76. The miss was mainly driven by lower-than expected jewelry and retail sales and higher-than-expected administrative expenses. The shift away from gold collateral towards general merchandise is pushing the timing of EZPW’s profitability farther into the future. We don’t believe the mix shift poses an issue when items are redeemed given that EZPW generates service charges regardless of whether the collateral underlying a pawn loan is gold or general merchandise. We’re lowering our FY12 estimates and raising our FY13 estimates (EPS to $3.54 from $3.56), to reflect the delayed recognition of retail sales."
