American Electric Power Co. (AEP) Reports In-Line Q1 EPS; Cancels FY12 Outlook

American Electric Power Co. (NYSE: AEP) reported Q1 EPS of $0.80, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.80. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.73 billion.
In light of the decision by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to terminate the previously approved stipulation agreement in February 2012, management is not reaffirming its 2012 ongoing earnings guidance of $3.05 to $3.25 per share.
