UBS maintains a 'Buy' on VMware (NYSE: VMW) price target raised from $115 to $125.

Analyst, Brent Thill, said, "Q1 was headlined by upside to margins and cash flow. Key demand metrics beat expectations (license revs +15% y/y vs UBS +13%/St +12% and bookings +20% y/y vs UBS +18%/Street +14%) but typical seasonal FQ1 demand patterns muted the upside to revenue. Positive commentary around management tool adoption is a plus as we’ve sized this market at $3-5B by 2014 and VMW has barely scratched the surface."

"Raising FY12 revenue and EPS to $4.61B/$2.70 (from $4.58B/$2.62) and FCF/sh to $5.27 (+17% y/y) from $5.04...Raising FQ2 to $1.19B/$0.66 from $1.11B/$0.65 and ahead of the mid-point of guide."
