Benchmark upgraded eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) from Hold to Buy, price target raised from $37 to $45.

Analyst, Clayton F. Moran, said, "We highlight the following three reasons: 1) we believe the recovery in Marketplaces GMV witnessed in 1Q12 is sustainable; 2) payments trends are improving, including accelerating growth in number of payments, rising penetration rates and stronger margins; 3) we suspect guidance may prove conservative, and think the market opportunity for PayPal is understated given the potential for a meaningful increase in merchant and consumer adoption rates and limited expectations for PayPal’s point-of-sale (POS) and PayPal Here initiatives."
