Harsco Corp. (HSC) Gets $35M in New Harsco Infrastructure Orders

April 11, 2012 9:47 AM EDT
Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) has gotten new large-scale industrial and commercial sector orders for its Harsco Infrastructure business group in Europe totaling more than $35 million in anticipated revenues.

The awards are led by a three-year contract extension and expansion of Harsco's onsite insulation maintenance services to the BASF Group chemical complex in Antwerp, Belgium, a facility that ranks as the largest processing industry site in Belgium and also the second largest BASF production plant in the world. Harsco's extension represents a 50 percent increase in scope over its previous contract and follows a competitive bidding process in which Harsco was selected not only to continue its existing role but also take over additional contract scope previously performed by others. Harsco will support BASF's operations with round-the-clock thermal and acoustic insulation installation, modification and repair services throughout the complex.
