Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: SNSS) 25.4% HIGHER; Sunesis and Royalty Pharma announced that Royalty Pharma has agreed to pay Sunesis $25 million, under certain circumstances related to the successful development of Sunesis' lead product candidate vosaroxin, to acquire a royalty on future worldwide net sales of vosaroxin.
ZaZa Energy (Nasdaq: ZAZA) 22% HIGHER; the stock pushed over the stubborn $4 level this morning and then through the $4.50 level as a trader on CNBC's Fast Money Halftime Report recommended the stock.
Finish Line (Nasdaq: FINL) 13.5% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.81, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.81. Revenue for the quarter came in at $456.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $432.62 million. Same-store sales rose 10.8%. Sees FY13 EPS, same-store sales up in the mid single-digit range.
Bacterin International (NYSE: BONE) 13% HIGHER; Maxim Group initiates coverage on the stock with a Buy. PT $7.00.
Towerstream Corp. (Nasdaq; TWER) 11.9% HIGHER; traders are buying as the stock price is holding nicely above the $4 level for the first time since summer of last year. The stock charged through the $4.50 and $4.75 price levels. Volume is very heavy today.
Xyratex, Ltd. (Nasdaq: XRTX) 11% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.40, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenue for the quarter came in at $295.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $316.5 million. Xyratex sees Q2 2012 EPS of $0.08-$0.35, versus the consensus of $0.35. Boosts quarterly dividend from 6.5 cents to 7.5 cents. Raised its quarterly dividend from $0.065 to $0.075.
Adams Resources & Energy (AMEX: AE) 10.4% LOWER; after running up more than 27 percent since reporting Q4 results on March 22nd, traders are taking profits today. Shares tumbled more than 13 percent yesterday. Volume remains heavy today.
Orexigen (Nasdaq: OREX) 10.2% LOWER; investors are taking some profits today following a recent run up into this week's FDA advisory committee meeting of the cardiovascular risks associated with obesity drugs. The panel determined these risks needed to be studied more. Investors in Orexigen may be viewing the company's diet pill less favorably as it appears VIVUS (Nasdaq: VVUS) and/or Arena's (Nasdaq: ARNA) products may get to the market before Orexigen's drug.
Global Payments (NYSE: GPN) 9.1% LOWER; the stock was halted following a very sharp move lower amid rumors the company has been hit by a security breach.
L & L Energy (Nasdaq: LLEN) 8.9% HIGHER; L & L Energy said it received confirmation from the previous owners of Ping Yi Mine that L & L owned the property, amid speculation otherwise.
Horizon Pharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: HZNP) 8.9% HIGHER; could be moving higher on a positive SeekingAlpha mention Friday.
