Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Family Dollar Stores Inc. (NYSE: FDO) price target raised $2 to $60.

Analyst, Aram Rubinson, said, "FDO reported FQ2 EPS of $1.15, ahead of our $1.09 and the Street’s $1.11 estimate. Results lined up closely with our model (4.5% comp and GM-90bps) except for SG&A. FDO’s plans include expanding its cooler offering by 5-10 doors in ~2,300 stores in F12, re-fixturing check-out areas & broadening food by 25% on top of a 20% expansion already. HBA will also broaden by an additional 500 items and stores will begin to sell tobacco. The pace of change at FDO is approaching warp speed and that is either impressive or daunting depending on your perspective. 2012E / 2013E EPS from $3.42 / $3.85 to $3.56 / $3.95 vs. Street at $3.63 / $4.18, respectively."
