Applied Materials' (AMAT) FY12 Outlook Comes In at Low End of Estimate Ranges

Shares of Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT) are trading slightly lower Wednesday morning as CEO George Davis offered some concerning guidance at an analyst meeting. The stock last traded at $12.58, down 1.9 percent from Tuesday's close.

The company is expecting FY12 adj-EPS of 85-95 cents (which includes 7-8 cents per share in losses) on sales of $9.1-$9.5 billion. Analysts on the Street are modeling for FY12 EPS of 96 cents on sales of $9.61 billion.
