Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Dollar General (NYSE: DG) price target of $42.00.

Analyst, Aram Rubinson, said, "DG’s consumable business has grown at a 13.5% CAGR during the last four years, slightly outpacing the channel (12.8%). DG’s Q4 earnings release on Thursday should provide color on initiatives to drive more growth from consumable categories, which now account for ~73% of sales. Through phases of elevating shelves, expanding assortments, adding beer and developing alternate formats, we have gained appreciation for the planning and sequencing that has accompanied DG’s market share gains. We believe plans for 2012 should prove no exception. Our Q4 EPS estimate of $0.82 is in line with the Street. It embeds a comp expectation of +4.5%."
