RIM (RIMM), Brightpoint (CELL) Expand Distribution, Support of BlackBerry Phones in Malaysia

Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: CELL) and Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) today announced an expansion of their distribution agreement into Malaysia.
Working through the subsidiary operation Brightpoint International (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd, the expanded relationship will increase the availability of BlackBerry® smartphones, software and accessories to leading operators, retailers and system integrators in Malaysia. BrightPoint will be providing customer support for BlackBerry smartphone users who purchase their smartphone from any of BrightPoint's retail partners in Malaysia. In addition, BrightPoint and RIM will be working together to provide product training, in-store marketing support and point-of-sale materials to BrightPoint's distribution partners in the country.
