Apple (AAPL) to Periodically Review Dividend Payments, Wants to Leave Room for Strategic Opportunities

On the conference call, an analyst asked Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) execs about dividend growth. CFO Peter Oppenheimer said the company will periodically review dividend payments with the Board but that he expects payouts to be over $10 billion a year moving forward. Oppenheimer suggested Apple will maintain a large cash hoard in order to take advantage of strategic opportunities which may arise.

Apple shares last traded at $594.90, up 1.6 percent from Friday's closing price.
