China Sunergy Co. (CSUN) Posts Q4 adj.-Loss of $2.60/Share; Guides Shipments

China Sunergy Co. (NASDAQ: CSUN) reported Q4 loss of ($2.60), $1.40 worse than the analyst estimate of ($1.20). Revenue for the quarter came in at $110.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $106.41 million.

Shipments totaled 116.8MW (116.4MW of which were module shipments) in the fourth quarter of 2011, representing a 0.5% increase over the third quarter of 2011.

The Company estimates, to the best of its knowledge at this time, that first quarter shipments will be in the range of 70MW to 80MW. The Company expects gross margin to be around 1% and forecasts a net loss in the first quarter. For the full year 2012, the Company estimates its total shipments to be approximately 500MW to 550MW.
