UBS maintains a 'Neutral' on STR Holdings (NYSE: STRI) price target cut from $8.50 to $6.50.

UBS analyst said, "STR sees a challenging in 1H as demand drivers have slowed due to steep FiT cuts and seasonality. STR’s 4Q11 utilization rate was 31%; however, STR generated $26M in operating cash flow in 4Q11. We believe First Solar’s recent module reliability problems in hot climates are likely not attributed to STR’s encapsulants."

"STR guided its 1Q12 Sales/EPS to $30M/$0.06 (STR’s receipt of $7.2M settlement benefit included) vs. consensus estimates of $38M/$0.07. We estimate operating break-even for STR at about $33M..." (UBS lowers FY12 EPS estimate from $0.50 to $0.30 and FY13 from $0.80 to $0.50)
