Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) reported in an official blog post that it acquired tunable radio frequency (RF) technology development company, Paratek Microwave, Inc.
According to the post: "Paratek is a recognized leader in developing adaptive tuning technologies for multi-band handsets. The Paratek team will continue to focus on developing RF tuning technologies with support from RIM."
RIM shares are up 2.3 percent late Thursday.
