National Health Investors (NHI) Announces Lease Extension and $8 Million Construction Commitment with Jackson Hospital

National Health Investors, Inc. (NYSE: NHI) has entered into a long-term lease extension and construction commitment to Jackson Hospital Corporation, an affiliate of Community Health Systems (“CHS”), to provide up to $8 million for extensive renovations and additions to its Kentucky River Medical Center, a general acute care hospital in Jackson, Kentucky. The construction project is expected to commence by the end of 2012 and continue over two years. The lease extension is for an initial period of 10 years beginning July 1, 2012, plus one 5-year renewal option.
