Rochdale Securities' always-controversial banking analyst Dick Bove boosted his price target on shares of JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) by 45 percent from $40 to $58 Wednesday afternoon. Bove maintains a Buy rating on JPMorgan.

With JPMorgan shares up 0.1 percent to $39.25 at last check, Bove's new target implies potential upside of nearly 48 percent.

Notably, the stock has dipped rather sharply as the price pushed under the hotly-traded 200-day smooth moving average. JPMorgan shares traded to an intraday high of $39.94 earlier.
