Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS) price target raised from $33 to $36.
Analyst, Richard Valera, said, "SNPS delivered strong 1QF12 results and offered a bullish view of the current state of the EDA industry, consistent with what we saw from Cadence (Nasdaq: CDNS)(Buy) last month and what we expect from Mentor (Nasdaq: MENT)(Buy) next week. The company also closed on its acquisition of LAVA, which although we believe could be underwhelming in terms of near-term accretion, we think does offer the company long-term value."
"Our F12 estimates increase to $1.66B and $2.02 from $1.65B and $1.97NG EPS. Our F13 estimates increase to$1.76B/$2.21 from $1.75B/$2.17."
