Deutsche Bank reiterates a 'Buy' on Regeneron Pharma (NASDAQ: REGN) price target of $140.00.

Deutsche analyst says, "According to Wall Street Journal report published today, 2/15/2012, Roche has issued a warning letter to doctors stating that a counterfeit version of Avastin has been found in the U.S. Reports of fake version of Avastin were previously seen in China...Though we do not know how widespread this issue is and what would be the exact impact of this on AMD practice, we believe doctors and patients may become cautious while using Avastin in AMD. Doctors in this setting are sensitive to safety issues. This could cause a short-term decline in Avastin use in AMD. However, long term use will probably remain intact."

"Any short-term switch of patients from Avastin will be shared between Eylea and Lucentis and will be upside to our estimates...Given the lack of visibility in this issue, we are not changing our numbers. However, we note that it is something investors should be aware of."
